Terms & Conditions for Whitepaper Download Charity Donation Campaign

 

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the whitepaper download charity donation campaign entitled “Choosing Windows for Mental Health Environments Whitepaper” (the “Campaign”). By downloading the whitepaper during the Campaign Period, you accept and agree to abide by these Terms in their entirety.

The Campaign is organised by Britplas Fabrications Limited, a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales, under company number 3071310 (“Britplas, we, us, or our”). The Campaign will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 (the “Campaign Period“). During this period, Britplas pledges to donate £1 to the charity “Mind” (registered charity no: 219830) for each verified, qualified download of the whitepaper completed via the designated landing page on the Britplas website.

2. Definitions

For clarity, the following definitions apply throughout these Terms:

    • “Charity”: The charity selected by Britplas for this Campaign, “Mind” (registered charity no: 219830).
    • “Download”: The act of accessing and downloading one (1) copy of the whitepaper “Choosing Windows for Mental Health Environments” from the landing page on Britplas official website, www.britplas.com.
    • “Qualified Download”: A Download that satisfies all of the eligibility criteria detailed in Clause 3 of these Terms.
    • “Campaign Period”: The defined period during which the Campaign operates, being 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
    • “Verified Contact Data”: Contact information submitted during the Download process, including full name, email address, job title, and facility/Trust name, subject to verification via Apollo.io (a GDPR-compliant data verification tool).

 

3. Eligibility for Qualified Downloads

To qualify as a Verified Download contributing to a £1 donation to the Charity:

3.1. Single Download: Each individual may contribute only one Qualified Download towards the donation amount. Subsequent downloads of the whitepaper by the same individual will not be eligible to contribute further donations.

3.2. Contact Information: Accurate contact information must be provided during the download process, including full name, email address, job title, and facility/Trust affiliation. Contact details will be verified using Apollo.io.

3.3. Verification Requirement: Downloads will only qualify as contributions once submitted data is successfully verified through Apollo.io. Any unverified downloads shall be considered ineligible.

3.4. Employee Exclusion: Downloads from Britplas employees, agents, contractors, or any individual directly associated with Britplas will not qualify as contributing downloads for the purposes of the Campaign.

3.5. Global Eligibility: Downloads by individuals residing outside the United Kingdom shall qualify as contributing downloads, provided all other eligibility requirements are met.

 

4. Data collection and Processing

4.1 Data Collection: Contact details provided at the time of downloading the whitepaper will be securely collected and processed by Britplas using GDPR-compliant systems, namely Deltek and Mailchimp. This data will be used solely for verifying downloads and facilitating enrolment in related email marketing campaigns regarding the content of the whitepaper.

4.2 Opt-In Consent: By downloading the whitepaper, individuals consent to being enrolled in an email marketing campaign regarding the whitepaper and relevant content.

4.3 Personal Data Protection: All data collected will comply with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and associated legislation. Individuals retain the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data, as well as the right to withdraw consent to marketing communications in accordance with our privacy policy: https://britplas.com/customer-privacy-notice/

 

5. Charitable Donation Terms

5.1 Donation Commitment: Britplas will donate £1 to Mind (registered charity no: 219830) for each Qualified Download verified during the Campaign Period[, up to a maximum aggregate donation of £2,000].  We are a commercial participator in relation to this promotion, the Charity is not the promoter and bears no liability for this promotion.

5.2 Calculation and Payment: The total donation amount will be calculated at the end of the Campaign Period, and funds will be disbursed in one lump sum on or before 30 April 2027.

5.3 Gift Aid: No Gift Aid will be claimed for these donations as they are made by us, not by downloaders. You will not receive a donation receipt.

5.4. Donation Transparency: Britplas may choose, at its sole discretion, to publish a summary of the total donations made at the conclusion of the Campaign Period.

5.5 Limitation of Liability: Britplas assumes no liability for delays or errors in donation calculation or payment resulting from third-party verification systems, software issues, or other matters outside its reasonable control.

 

6. Modification or Termination

6.1 Modifications: Britplas reserves the right to modify these Terms, including changes to eligibility requirements, donation amount, Campaign Period, or cancellation of the Campaign due to unforeseen circumstances. Notice regarding changes will be provided on the Britplas website.

6.2 Technical Failures: In the case of technical failure within systems such as Apollo.io, Mailchimp, or Deltek that materially affect donation verification, Britplas shall make reasonable efforts to rectify such issues and may adopt alternate measures to continue the Campaign.

 

7. White Paper Licence and use

We grant you a non‑exclusive, revocable, non‑transferable licence to download and use the Whitepaper for your internal business purposes only.
You must not:

  • copy, adapt, distribute, resell, or publish the Whitepaper outside your organisation;
  • remove proprietary notices; or
  • use it in a way that infringes third‑party rights or applicable laws.

All intellectual property rights in the Whitepaper remain with us (or our licensors).

8.2. Disclaimer: Britplas disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, or expense arising from reliance upon the information contained herein. No warranty, express or implied, is given regarding the accuracy, completeness, or currency of the information provided.

 

9. Force Majeure

Britplas shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, cyber-attacks, regulatory changes, or technical failures affecting third-party systems such as Apollo.io, Mailchimp, or Deltek.

 

10. Governing Law

These Terms, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising thereof or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
