Britplas were delighted to work on Hervey Bay’s first mental health inpatient unit which provides more timely access for consumers to the service while helping to divert health presentations away from the emergency department.

The new 22-bed facility will have a profound impact on mental healthcare services on the Fraser Coast. The acute facility was purpose-built to provide assessment and treatment for people with a mental illness over the age of 18 that require inpatient care. Service user bedrooms are fitted with the latest Safevent external sliding windows with access sash which helps to provide the overall light, spacious feel to the facility, but also one of safety.
