Set up under the academies programme, this unique new facility is run by Oasis, a multi-academy trust that operates more than 50 mainstream schools around the country.

Oasis places an emphasis on education and therapy, rather than punishment and retribution. The facility was purposefully designed to reflect this focus through the creation of a compassionate and nurturing environment.

A key design consideration was ensuring that windows provided both safety and security, while avoiding an institutional appearance that could undermine the therapeutic atmosphere.

Additionally, the integration of secure Visomesh technology ensures high levels of safety by preventing absconsion and the transfer of contraband, all while allowing natural light and ventilation to enter the space – contributing to a bright, positive interior environment.

Oasis Restore has a maximum capacity of 49 children of all genders aged between 12 and 18 years. They live in small ‘flats’ with a maximum of 6 children in each flat and attend a therapeutic education provision on the site.
