Project details

The two hospitals both provide facilities to support the wellbeing and recovery of their patients. These include well-spaced bedrooms, fully equipped gyms/workout space, an art room, a welcoming lounge, and sensory rooms among other amenities. But most importantly, a safe and supportive space for individuals needing a little extra care and stability.

The FIRAS scope process encompassed every stage including design, manufacturing, procurement, and installation and ensured that we had a fully tested and documented install. Fire-rated windows serve a specific and vital purpose, so the 3rd party certification provided support for the golden thread of the building. This confirmed that we had met specific standards to ensure the windows will perform as required in critical situations. It was a challenging but an essential step for the business as the industry continues to move towards third party compliance.

Working on both hospitals reinforced the importance of collaboration across our departments. From the initial design phase to on-site execution, effective communication and teamwork were critical to meeting deadlines and ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This level of coordination was especially important during the fire-rated installation, where the level of precision was non-negotiable.
