Project Details
Britplas’ remit on this project was to:

  • Improve the fabric of the building
  • Enhance the overall aesthetic of the building
  • Offer flexible ventilation
  • Increase the specification fenestration (from single to double glazing)
  • Improve energy efficiency
  • Increase security

The school’s head teacher Lindsey Glass was delighted with the results following the refurbishment works which included the replacement of 96 windows and the installation of Britplas’ patented Rapidvent system.

She commented “Since the new windows have been fitted there is more fresh air in the corridors and classrooms which is a real benefit to pupils and staff.”

Britplas were commissioned to replace 96 windows at Alderman Bolton Primary School’s 104-year old main school building following a recommendation by the head teacher of a nearby school.
