BRITPLAS FAÇADES PASSES £26.5M IN 2026 PROJECT WINS AS BIOSTAR AND PINNERS HALL COMPLETE RUN OF SIX APPOINTMENTS

Britplas Façades, part of employee-owned Britplas Group, has secured two façade packages worth more than £9 million combined: BioSTAR, Syngenta’s new headquarters in Bracknell, and Pinners Hall in the City of London. The appointments take the division’s order intake so far this year past £26.5 million.
The latest appointments follow a strong run of wins at Blackpool Multiversity, Manchester Airport Premier Inn, Calderdale Royal Hospital and the Edgbaston Stadium redevelopment. The division has also grown its headcount by 39% over the last nine months to keep pace.

BioSTAR, Bracknell
Walter Lilly has appointed Britplas Façades to design, supply and install the façade package for BioSTAR, a new 100,000 sq ft headquarters for Syngenta at Jealott’s Hill. The package includes curtain walling, brick slip rainscreen, composite panels, a revolving entrance and a feature glulam atrium rooflight.
Britplas has been involved since the early design stages in 2022, helping Walter Lilly achieve the scheme’s low-carbon ambitions with cost certainty from the outset. That early input has simplified the bespoke atrium rooflight and resolved how the curtain walling integrates with the pre-cast concrete units well before work reaches site. Works start in November 2026, with a six-month installation programme.
Pinners Hall, London
Secured through competitive tender for McLaughlin & Harvey, Pinners Hall is a major refurbishment and upper-storey extension on Broad Street in the heart of the City of London. The package includes Portland Stone and aluminium rainscreen, composite cladding, bespoke engineered curtain walling, windows and a revolving door entrance.
On a tight central London site, where much of the existing structure is only revealed once it is stripped back, early engineering input has been critical. The team replaced a standard structurally glazed system with a capped curtain wall engineered around the building’s movement, used 3D-printed models to develop feature fins for the new upper storeys, and designed new windows to sit within the existing stonework. The team has also contributed to the project’s circular economy strategy for materials removed from the existing façade.

Both wins were built on Britplas Façades’ in-house design and engineering capability, which identifies risk early, simplifies buildability and gives main contractors cost and programme certainty before contract award.
