Another major project win for Britplas Façades
BRITPLAS FAÇADES, A SPECIALIST DIVISION OF BRITPLAS GROUP (EOT), HAS SECURED A £3.3 MILLION FAÇADE PACKAGE FOR THE NEW CLINICAL BUILDINGS AT CALDERDALE ROYAL HOSPITAL, APPOINTED BY MAIN CONTRACTOR LAING O’ROURKE.
Warrington, Cheshire – July 2026
The scheme will deliver a new A&E department with a dedicated Children’s A&E, along with additional wards, providing vital new clinical space for the local community.
The scope of works includes the design, supply and installation of SFS, composite panels, louvres, façade feature ribbons and feature fins, combining technical performance with a distinctive architectural finish befitting the flagship new healthcare facility.
As part of the project, Britplas Façades is also committed to delivering wider social value across the local community, including investment in local spend, employee volunteering days, educational events, apprenticeships, training opportunities and health & wellbeing initiatives.
Work is due to commence in late 2027. This latest appointment further strengthens Britplas Façades’ relationship with Laing O’Rourke, following previous successful projects together, and builds on the division’s growing track record in complex, design-led healthcare schemes, along with Tolworth Hospital.
The project team, including Operations Director – Simon Summers, Commercial Manager – Chris Frame, Design Manager – Cain Argue and Project Manager – Chris Mills, worked closely with Laing O’Rourke to shape the technical approach ahead of appointment.
Commenting on the appointment, Jason Cross, Managing Director of Britplas Façades, said:
“Being trusted with further work from Laing O’Rourke means a great deal to us. It’s the clearest sign that the relationship and the quality of delivery on previous projects are genuinely valued, and is a testament to the hard work our team has put in, in some cases over a number of years, to earn that trust. We’re looking forward to getting started at Calderdale and continuing to build on what’s already a strong partnership.”
Simon Summers, Operations Director at Britplas Façades, added:
“Calderdale is a fantastic project for the team to get their teeth into, particularly knowing the difference this new A&E and Children’s A&E will make for the local community. We’ve worked hard to build the right technical solution alongside Laing O’Rourke from an early stage, and I’m looking forward to seeing that translate into a great outcome on site.”
Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved.
