Britplas secure strengthens leadership team with two internal promotions and new design manager
Warrington, Cheshire – October 2026
Employee-Owned Trust Britplas Group announces changes to the leadership of its Secure division, with Tim Lyon promoted to Technical Director, Paul Deegan promoted to Contracts Director and Andrew Stapleton joining as Design Manager.
After eight years as Design Manager, Tim Lyon becomes Technical Director, bringing the Design and R&D functions together under his leadership. He will lead the evolution of the Britplas Secure product portfolio while continuing to work closely with clients to help them specify with confidence. Tim will also continue to champion Britplas’ work with the Design in Mental Health Network and the BRE to raise testing standards across the industry.
Tim’s promotion creates the opportunity for Andrew Stapleton to join as Design Manager. Andrew brings more than 35 years’ experience in the glazing and fenestration industry, gained across a number of leadership, design and technical roles. Andrew will lead the design team, engineering solutions around the specific needs of Britplas’ clients, their facilities and the people who use them.
Paul Deegan’s promotion to Contracts Director reflects a career that has taken him through almost every part of the Britplas operation. Having started out as an installer, Paul progressed through supervisor, project manager, contracts manager and operations manager roles, and will continue to lead the operations of Britplas Secure.
Paul now owns the delivery programme and is responsible for all installation contracts across Britplas Secure, special projects and Fire. With a strong focus on processes, policies and compliance, he will ensure every project is delivered to programme and to the high standards of quality Britplas has been known for over the past two decades.
Tim and Paul’s promotions reflect Britplas’ commitment as an employee-owned trust. Since moving to full employee ownership in 2024, the company has placed a strong emphasis on developing talent from within, ensuring the people who know the business best, help to shape its future.
