A number of the schools were part of the original Priority Schools Building Program (PSBP) managed out of a number of local Kier offices.
Working with various client architects the classroom window design has addressed all key performance criteria with consideration for high levels of natural ventilation and natural light, avoidance of glare in the classrooms, plus requirements for safety standards, as well as addressing environmental performance targets.
A mixed mode system combining manual and mechanical opening windows, working in conjunction with a heat recovery system integrated into the windows. All projects we’ve delivered by the experienced delivery team on time and to challenging financial targets. Other school projects are currently being processed for 2018, with numerous Kier teams across the country.
Kier Schools, North London
Britplas have worked closely with Kier to collaboratively produce a standardised casement window design that meets stringent performance criteria set by the EFA. This design has been rolled out across several schools, along with doors and curtain walling, all manufactured and installed by Britplas.
