Project Details
Britplas were appointed to complete the external vertical facade to this new office building at Milton Park Business and Science Park in Oxfordshire.
The project has created a total of 125,000 sq ft of premium office space, and was led by main contractor Barnwood Construction for commercial property company MEPC.
Britplas’ scope of work included the design, manufacture and installation of Schüco FW50 and FW50SG curtain walling systems along with Schüco ADS 70 HD doors. The scheme also features composite panels and casement windows. Together with its sister scheme on Jubilee Avenue, both buildings provide over 6,000 sq m of external envelope consisting of glazing and cladding products.
Britplas developed an innovative design solution for the project which mimics the appearance of rainscreen cladding and ultimately reduced the number of trades that would have been involved in the original design and ensured significant cost and program efficiencies.
